  • Honor X9b has been launched in India. The handset is touted to be the most durable and reliable smartphone across all segments. The smartphone features “ultra-bounce 360-degree anti-drop resistance and state-of-the-art cushioning technology,” making it the first device to receive a five-star overall drop resistance certificate.   • The phone comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device is priced at Rs 25,999.

  • As part of the launch offer, the company is offering a discount of Rs 3,000 on ICICI Bank credit and debit card transactions. The phone is priced at Rs 22,999.
  • The company will also offer an additional exchange bonus of Rs 5,000 on the device.
  • The Honor phone will go on sale from February 16 on the e-commerce platform Amazon, the company’s website and other retail outlets.

Also, the RAM can be expanded up to about 8GB using a portion of the phone’s storage.

  • In terms of software, the Honor X9b runs on Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2 out of the box. This is a slightly older software, but the company claims that a new update is coming. The handset is expected to get two years of major software upgrades and three years of security updates.

Battery:

  • In terms of battery, the HONOR X9b packs a 5,800mAh battery and supports 35W fast charging. In the first impression, we noticed that the charging speed on the smartphone is quite slow. Even with the official 30W charger, the Honor X9b takes two and a half hours to fully charge from 0-100 percent.
