The company is working on Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, it may be launched with S25 series

The next phones in the Samsung foldable series may be launched in July this year. This time apart from the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, Samsung is also expected to introduce an affordable foldable. Now according to the new rumour, Samsung is reportedly planning to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 'Slim' next year. This foldable is said to launch alongside the Galaxy S25 series.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 'Slim' is in the works
- Samsung is reportedly working on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 'Slim', which, as the name suggests, will be slimmer in design than the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
- This information has been received from Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, who says that the 'slim' model will have a larger display than the Z Fold 6.
- Young says that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim will be priced the same as the regular variant but will not have an S Pen slot. This could be the reason behind the foldable's slim design.
Hearing about a Samsung Fold 6 Slim, Q4'24, bigger display than the Fold 6. Price probably similar to the Fold 6. No pen input.

- It is also speculated that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could be the slim 'Ultra' model that has been rumoured for some time now. According to Young, Samsung hasn't finalised the name of the foldable.
- Panel shipments for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are said to begin in Q4, 2024, so the foldable will likely launch alongside the Galaxy S25 series in Q1, 2025. So even if we don’t get the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim this year,
- We don't have to wait until next summer. Its foldable and cover display will be revealed in DSCC's next foldable report.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 could give Samsung's foldables an edge over other companies. Samsung may be ahead of the curve in foldable phones, but rival brands are catching up fast. Vivo is bringing its first foldable to India with the X Fold 3 Pro. It is touted to be the thinnest and lightest foldable ever in the country. The handset is also the only foldable to feature the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
It's still unclear what exactly Samsung has in store for the foldable market, but rumors suggest the brand is planning to introduce something other than a next-generation model. The next Galaxy Unpacked is expected to take place in July, when the new foldable phones will launch, so we should get some clarity then.
