How to port mobile number in BSNL:
step 1- You will have to send a message to whichever company your number is from, Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea.
Step 2- Go to the SMS box of your phone and open the option to write a new message.
Step 3- Type your mobile number here after giving PORT and a space. Example: PORT 901#####88
Step 4- Once the message is typed, send it to number 1900.
Step 5- As soon as the message is sent, you will receive a new message which will have come from number 1901.
Step 6- The message received from number 1901 will contain an 8 digit unique code. This is called Unique Porting Code i.e. UPC.
Step 7- In this 8 digit porting code, first 2 will be English alphabets and remaining 6 will be numerical digits.
Step 8- Keep in mind that this porting code is valid only for 4 days and in Jammu & Kashmir, Assam and North-East circle, this validity will be 15 days.
Step 9- This unique porting code has to be taken to the BSNL store or any mobile shop that sells BSNL SIM.
Step 10- The application form will be filled at the BSNL outlet and a new SIM will be given along with it. Here you will also have to submit your identity card.
