Geekbench performance

To find out which processor performs better between Vivo V40 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Civi, we have run Geekbench benchmark in both smartphones. This Geekbench result was a bit interesting because Xiaomi took the lead in single-core but all the cores combined gave power to the processor, so the multi-core score of Vivo V40 Pro was higher.

The single-core Geekbench score of Vivo V40 Pro was 1811 and Xiaomi 14 Civi scored 1913 here. In the multi-core benchmark score, Vivo V40 Pro scored 5299 points and the multi-core Geekbench score of Xiaomi 14 Civi was 5087.

Let us tell you that the MediaTek processor given in Vivo V40 Pro runs at a clock speed of 2.0GHz to 3.35GHz, while the Qualcomm processor present in Xiaomi 14 CV can process at a clock speed of 2.0GHz to 3.0GHz.

AnTuTu performance

To know the GPU, memory and UX performance of the smartphone, we conducted AnTuTu benchmark test on Vivo V40 Pro and Xiaomi 14CV in which Vivo phone achieved a score of 15,24,110 and Xiaomi smartphone achieved a score of 14,43,011. Vivo V40 Pro has won in this test.

The Vivo V40 Pro beats the Xiaomi 14CV in all aspects of the AnTuTu benchmark. But when it comes to memory, the V40 Pro managed to score 2,55,761 while the 14CV managed to score 3,24,669.

Vivo V40 Pro comes with up to 12GB RAM memory with 512GB storage. Xiaomi 14 Civi smartphone also supports 12GB RAM and also has 512GB storage.

Throttling Test

To know how the processor performs under heavy load, we ran the burnout benchmark app on Vivo V40 Pro and Xiaomi 14CV and performed a throttling test on them. The test lasted for about 9 minutes and during this time the CPU of both smartphones performed average.

In the throttling test, Vivo V40 Pro gave a performance output of 46.3 percent. On the other hand, Xiaomi 14 Civi's processor was able to show only 40.5 percent of its capacity. Here the Vivo smartphone has come out ahead but according to the price range, a little better result was expected.

Gaming Test

One of the intentions behind buying expensive flagship phones is to get great gaming performance in them. Vivo V40 Pro and Xiaomi 14CV both belong to this category of mobiles. And to know their gaming power, we played BGMI and COD (Call of Duty: Mobile) for 30-30 minutes on both and got to know the power, heat and battery status of the phone.

Talking about the BGMI game, after playing it for half an hour on Vivo V40 Pro, the phone's temperature increased by 6 degrees and the battery dropped by 8 percent. During this, the average frame rate was 34.6 FPS. On the other hand, when the same game was played on Xiaomi 14 CV at an average frame rate of 35 FPS, the mobile's temperature increased by 7.4 degrees and the battery drop percentage was 8.

When Call of Duty: Mobile was played for 30 minutes, Vivo V40 Pro heated up by 5.4 degrees and the temperature of Xiaomi 14 Civi increased by 6.6 degrees. The battery drop of both the phones was found to be 6% and 7% respectively. Let us tell you that during this time the average frame rate of Vivo V40 Pro was 54.7 fps and Xiaomi 14 Civi had 49.71 fps.

Talking about benchmark scores, Vivo V40 Pro has come out with better results in Geekbench and AnTuTu. But apart from the scores, if we talk about overall performance, then both the mobiles can prove to be a better option for heavy processing. There is a difference of 7 thousand in the rates of both, which also justifies the difference in benchmark scores.

However, we would like to add one more line here that it would have been better to keep the price of Vivo V40 Pro below Rs 45,000. The performance of the phone is good but the amount of Rs 50,000 is a bit too much for this benchmark score.
