Earlier this year, WhatsApp announced that users can now turn their photos into stickers and edit existing stickers. Now, a report by WABetaInfo has revealed that Meta-owned WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to create stickers from pictures (sticker editor feature) to some beta testers on Android.

How does the Sticker Editor feature work?

According to the screenshots, it is expected that with the help of this new feature, users will be able to easily create stickers from images. You may have two options; Either go to the sticker keyboard and select the ‘create’ option, or directly open the image, go to the overflow menu and select ‘create sticker’. Apart from this, it is expected that you will also be able to edit the existing stickers by choosing the ‘Edit Sticker’ option.

When you select a photo, WhatsApp will automatically open the drawing editor, focusing on the subject inside the image. If the results don’t match your preference, you can choose from alternative stickers that will likely be available at the bottom of the screen.

By turning photos into stickers, users can potentially express themselves in a more unique and creative way.
